The shows still often feature co-creators Laurice Fattal and Walt Frasier (HBO, MTV, Billions, Black List, Blue Bloods, etc.). Filling out the ranks are dozens of professional New York-based singers, actors, and comics improvising original skits and songs improvised based upon your suggestions and participation.
As the flagship show of New York Improv Theater, EIGHT IMPROV, formerly known as EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH, has been entertaining thousands of audiences live from Times Square NYC and touring nationwide since 2002. We daily work with student groups and corporate teams. We tour private and public events DC to Boston and beyond!
Walt Frasier
With over 30 years of experience in theater, comedy, and television, Walt Frasier is the Artistic Director of Improv Theater LLC, a leading edutainment center known for its high-impact comedy shows and workshops. His extensive career includes performing comedy sketches on MTV’s Stankervision, Late Nite with David Letterman, TruTV’s Friends of the People, and HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay. As an actor, Walt has appeared on NBC’s Blacklist, CBS’s Blue Bloods, USA’s Royal Pains, Netflix’s Lilyhammer, and NICK’s Naked Brothers Band, in addition to numerous commercials, industrials, and live performances worldwide – 2nd National tour of Scarlet Pimpernel, Gateway Playhouse Fiddler on the Roof, West End Dinner Theater Pirates of Penzance. Samuel Van Wyk
Samuel Van Wyk is a managing director at 8 Improv, often running public shows, private events and a top notch corporate trainer. As an improviser, Samuel has performed for thousands of students and adults. He has also lead Improvisational workshops for all ages from kindergarten students to senior executives and everything in between. Samuel has lead workshops on the benefit of improv in a business setting for professionals in the education and medical field as well as corporate clients like IBM, Bing, and JP Morgan. As an actor, Samuel works in TV, Film, and Theatre. Samuel has appeared in such TV shows as Evil Talks, Diabolical, and Mysteries at the Museum. Favorite stage roles include Malcolm (The Full Monty), Hal (Proof), and Snoopy (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown!).
Dewight Braxton Jr.
Dewight Braxton Jr. is a New York based actor and improv artist, who originally hails from Detroit Michigan. He attended Wayne State University where he obtained a B.A in Theatre. With his plethora of theatre/ TV credits both regional and international including CIVIL WAR SOLIDER (Dickinson- Apple TV), THE GENERAL (Book of Mormon National tour), HUD (Hair – ACT Windsor) and SCAR (Hong Kong DisneyLand). He has done improv with (Eight is Never Enough) for the last 4 years and is ready to continue to make people laugh!
Ashley Albinus
Ashley Albinus is an actor/improviser from Brooklyn, NY. A recent Columbia University, she has led the university’s oldest improv comedy troupe, Fruit Paunch Improv, for the past 3 years. In her time studying abroad in Madrid last spring, she performed with local English-language improv troupe, MAD Improv. Having joined Eight Is Never Enough in 2025, she is thrilled to continue performing at the Broadway Comedy Club.
