Eight is Never Enough is committed to creating equitable spaces that are inclusive and diverse where all voices are heard, respected and acknowledged. People from underrepresented groups (including but not limited to Women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, People with Disabilities, Neurodiversity) will have their experiences and input valued and respected. We will have ongoing honest conversations that will create opportunities for our community members to learn from each other and allow Eight is Never Enough to grow as an organization. We acknowledge missteps will be made and Eight is Never Enough, as an organization, will be accountable to the community.  

Below are the actionable steps we will take:  

  • A diverse leadership team that will be integral in casting, planning and operations 
  • Develop partnerships with community leaders and organizations 
  • Bring improv entertainment and education to audiences who are members of  underrepresented and underserved communities

Laurice Fattal

Member since 2002, Laurice  has worked in casting, directing, and writing with professional companies based out of  NYC, MD and DC. Laurice has written and performed in dozens of sketch comedy digital shorts for LMAONYC. Other credits include the Indie short mockumentary: P.O.O.P: The Movie, Writer/Director of The Top 8 at Eight (original web series), Fox & Friends. Musicals/Operas: Amahl and the Night Visitors (Riverside Opera NYC), 27 Santa’s & and Elf Called Kevin, The Phantom Tollbooth – By Sheldon Harnick, The Lounge @ Under St. Marks. In  addition to developing the concept for “Eight is NEVER Enough!”,  she is thrilled to be the co-founder of “IMPROV 4 Kids!” and Bully Assemblies NY  – both are outreach programs that currently tour K-12 schools.

Walt Frasier

Member since 2002, TV credits include Billions (CBS),  Friends of the People (TruTV), Blue Bloods (CBS) Royal Pains (USA), Lilyhammer (NETFLIX),Naked Brothers Band (NICK), Fat Pants (Dr. Oz Promo), Late Night with David Letterman (9 eps), Hair Trauma (2 eps, WE). Walter is a New Yorker since 1997, but grew up in Maryland, getting his theatrical start in Washington DC area.  Walter has also performed internationally in theater, music and even Opera.

Amelia Fowler

Member since 2009, Amelia is a native of Brooklyn, New York and proud to have performed in works like “POSE”, GLAAD award winning play “She Like Girls” and her one woman show “Flozetta” performed at HERE as part of the Downtown Urban Theater Festival. Amelia has also been seen in commercial spots for Cablevision, the History Channel, IFC, as well as comedy venues throughout the Northeast with her fellow cast mates of the improv troupes “Comedy Sportz-New York,” and “Eight is Never Enough.” She is also totally psyched about projects she is anxiously awaiting to be released like, “Are You Happy Now” and “The Many Saints of Newark”.

Evan Schultz

Member since 2009, TV/Film: 30 Rock, Law and Order, Gossip Girls, Fringe, Cupid, When in Rome.
This New York native is a graduate of Wagner College with a BA in Theatre Performance as well as Voice and Speech. Off Broadway: LMAO, Isabelle and

Patrick Reidy

Member since 2010, Patrick is an actor, comedian, musician, and improviser in NYC.  He can currently be seen as a host and improv comedian
at the Broadway Comedy Club for the Eight Is Never Enough and LMAO-NYC Interactive Comedy Shows as well as touring with their family friendly cousin, Improv 4 Kids.  He is also an established improv teacher, having taught for the Comedy Hall Of Fame and independent residences throughout the five boroughs.  As a sketch writer and performer his
work has been featured on Funny Or Die, College Humor, and the Absent Minded Comedy Show.  He is a graduate of Salem State University and has studied improv, sketch-writing, stand-up, and screen writing at the Upright Citizens Brigade, The Peoples Improv Theatre, and The Annoyance Theater.  Yes, and he would love to help you with your next

Nathan Armstrong

Member since 2011, Nathan has been seen in many productions, including recent tours of Phantom, Brigadoon, and Richard Sherman and Milt Larson’s new musical Pazzazz!  Other regional credits include Buddy, the Buddy Holly Story, Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes, Big River, and Joseph… He is also on the soundtrack for the feature  film Rock Slyde and has performed in venues worldwide, from the Hilton Hawaiian Village to festivals in the Czech Republic and Hungary. In addition to producing, Nathan has vast experience in corporate management and sales.

Thomas Burns Scully

Original from North Wales, via a childhood in Oman, Thomas works internationally in TV, theater and music. He is a Max Fischer Award winning graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and has been performing with Eight is Never Enough since 2013. Notable projects as an actor include: appearing in the award-winning short film “The Boy Under the Piano” and the New York Times critically-acclaimed “A Girl Without Wings” (For which he also composed the score). He has been playing the guitar and the banjo since age ten, and his work as a musician is available online. As a writer, his work has been produced on three continents. Liz Lord

Member since 2012, After receiving her theater degree from Earlham College, Liz came to the city to act, direct, and teach.  Favorite roles include
Ophelia in Hamlet, Liz in Chicago, and She in The Loveliest Afternoon of the Year. She loves performing in new work as well, and has been on stage for many of New York Cities various theater festivals.  Liz has directed adults and children,
and is the co-artistic director of the newly formed Three Bridges Theater.  Teaching has always been one of Liz’s favorite endeavors. She has worked with Americorps to bring arts education to low income families, taught literacy through acting with the Central Park Historical Society, and acted as an assistant director for the Sports and Arts in Schools Foundation.   Her favorite teaching position, however, has been teaching stand-up and Improv to kids.

Ivana Méndez

Samuel Van Wyk

Sam is an actor/improvisor based in New York City. As an improviser, Samuel has performed for thousands of students and adults. He has also lead Improvisational workshops for all ages from kindergarten students to senior executives and everything in between. Samuel has lead workshops on the benefit of improv in a business setting for professionals in the education and medical field as well as corporate clients like IBM, Bing, and JP Morgan.
As an actor, Samuel works in TV, Film, and Theatre. Samuel has appeared in such TV shows as Evil Talks, Diabolical, and Mysteries at the Museum. Favorite stage roles include Malcolm (The Full Monty), Hal (Proof),
and Snoopy (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown!).

Steven Prestia
MC, Teacher Member since 2017 (Student since 2012, then intern 2016)
Steven was just 13 when he attended our first public comedy class for kids/teens. At age 16/17, Steven served as an Intern often helping with public shows & classes. Now in college Steven regularly performs with the professional comedy and team teaches our Long Island programs. He has appeared in various local plays and musical theater productions in addition
to his comedic talents.   He can be seen in the indie film “The Great Kevini” and will soon appear on the web series (S2 E4).

Ryan Hudzik

Ryan would like to believe you are laughing WITH him, not AT him. Ryan is an actors, singer, dancer, writer, noodle hailing from upstate NY. He is also a recent graduate of NYU Tisch (Experimental Theatre Wing/New Studio on Broadway). Besides working his first ever improv job with Eight is Never Enough, Ryan loves bringing new works to life (so you won’t know
any of his recent credits until they hit that good good Broadway transfer). Right before the quarantine life started, Ryan was cast in a new Off Broadway run of Naked Boys Singing. Critics have called him a “vocal powerhouse,” a “laugh riot,” and a “person.” Armed with a fast paced walk, and his home-made cold brew, he’s ready to take the world by storm!

Andrea Hernandez Mieres

Andrea is a Mexican & Spanish singer, actress and dancer. Originally from Mexico City where she debuted professionally on the Musical Theater scene in the Mexican Broadway versions of The Fiddler on the Roof and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Recent AMDA NY graduate, Andrea is venturing on the New York City scene.

Robin Murray is a singer, actress, and improv comedian living in Brooklyn in New York City.  She is a 2018 graduate of the Circle in the Square Theatre School. Her most recent projects include a reading of a new musical, Two Princes, and performing Revenge and Sorrow in Thebes via Zoom. She otherwise spends her time procrastinating on her psychology homework and bothering her cat.

Tyler J. Oakley is a head writer for the “Patent Pending” Sketch Comedy Show. He has studied improv with Bay Area Theatresports (BATS), National Comedy Theatre (NCT), and the Upright Citizens Brigade. Previously from the west coast, Tyler appeared in numerous regional theater and commercials via production companies in San Francisco and San Diego.

Izza Saks
Member since 2019
Izzy is a singer, actress, model, (possible mermaid,) and writer who graduated from AMDA NYC in February of 2019 shortly after joining the cast. Her most “viral” work is doing the voice over for a Storybooth video which has gained over 11,000,000 views.

Members at Large

Member Since 2007, Christopher Leidenfrost is an actor, singer, director and producer who spent the last four years (before COVID) touring the country with his improvised, pirate musical The Greatest Pirate Story Never Told! and his bands, The Crimson Pirates and The Roving Blades. Before that, he was a regular with Eight is Never Enough! and LMAO-ff Broadway. He now spends his days bartending and selling real estate until we can all perform in public again.

Bringing with him 18 years experience of performing live on stage, he is back with his fellow performers from Eight is NEVER Enough! Throughout his performance career he has performed all over the country for people of all ages! Originally studying Improv in his home town of NYC he has since moved out and continued studying in the Windy City of Chicago! He continues studying Improv, Musical Improv, Sketch and anything else that allows him to get on stage to entertain! He also spent 5 years traveling the world and entertaining guests at sea with Carnival Cruise Lines!

Isaac Beauchamp
MC, Teacher, Member since 2018
Isaac is an actor and improviser from Indianapolis, Indiana. He has been living in New York since 2017 and has been a member of Eight is Never Enough since 2018. He has definitely been in shows, and he has definitely enjoyed being in them. He’s in a few frames of the intro to Saturday Night Live, where he plays a waiter in the restaurant he actually works at. Isaac has also shined as a guy who fires a gun in an episode of NBC’s The Blacklist. He has also played King Lear! Watch out as this sure-fire performer skyrockets to the epitome of fame  and notoriety in the near future! He wrote this!

Gian DiConstanzo

Gian recently returned from his Cruise Ship run of Jersey Boys. Originally from North Smithfield, RI, Gian has been performing since an early age and has fostered a successful career as a professional actor in NYC. Gian has been a part of Eight is Never Enough since May 2018, but has been doing improv comedy since 2011, including a performance with Brad Sherwood and Colin Mochrie from TV’s Whose Line is it Anyway?. Cruises/Nat’l Tours: Jersey Boys, PAW Patrol Live!, Turn it Up! Regional Credits: Buddy, the Buddy Holly Story, Smokey Joe’s Café, Forever Plaid, Shrek the Musical. Ilan Kaplan
Member since 2019
Ilan is an actor with training from Cornell University and the Actors Studio Drama School. Ilan has been doing improv in one shape or another since 2016, and has trained at UCB and the Magnet with the likes of Brandon Gardner, Tarik Davis, Elana Fishbein, Michael Lutton, TJ Mannix, and Louis Kornfeld. He performs weekly at Musical Megawatt on the Magnet Theater
mainstage with Contessa, and does shows and workshops around the city with his team We’re Cousins. Having taken classes with Northcoast and Freestyle Love Supreme, Ilan is always trying to fit freestyle rapping into improv scenes. Follow him on instagram! @ijkaplan

Zelda Gay

Zelda Gay is a native New York ninja. She has a second degree black belt in traditional Japanese Oyama Karate and 10 years of martial arts experience. She graduated from Fiorello H. Laguardia High School  (The Fame School) with a degree in drama and went on to study Theatre Studies and Stage Combat at Emerson College where she obtained her degree. Zelda works as an actor and a free lance fight choreographer. When not creating art, Zelda is a competitive fighter and an instructor at her family’s karate dojo.

Henry Sheeran

Henry is an actor, playwright, and “I direct sometimes” based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. He graduated from The Gallatin School at New York University with a made up concentration he called Narratives and Poetics of Responsibility, which is meant to confuse as well as to titillate. Most recently, he acted in the 24 Hour Plays: Nationals on Theatre Row. He is a founding partner of Myka+Henry Productions as well as Capital J Theater Company. Currently, Henry works as a sound and electrics technician at various theaters in the city.
