Eight is Never Enough is committed to creating equitable spaces that are inclusive and diverse where all voices are heard, respected and acknowledged. People from underrepresented groups (including but not limited to Women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, People with Disabilities, Neurodiversity) will have their experiences and input valued and respected. We will have ongoing honest conversations that will create opportunities for our community members to learn from each other and allow Eight is Never Enough to grow as an organization. We acknowledge missteps will be made and Eight is Never Enough, as an organization, will be accountable to the community.

Member since 2002, Laurice has worked in casting, directing, and writing with professional companies based out of NYC, MD and DC. Laurice has written and performed in dozens of sketch comedy digital shorts for LMAONYC. Other credits include the Indie short mockumentary: P.O.O.P: The Movie, Writer/Director of The Top 8 at Eight (original web series), Fox & Friends. Musicals/Operas: Amahl and the Night Visitors (Riverside Opera NYC), 27 Santa’s & and Elf Called Kevin, The Phantom Tollbooth – By Sheldon Harnick, The Lounge @ Under St. Marks. In addition to developing the concept for “Eight is NEVER Enough!”, she is thrilled to be the co-founder of “IMPROV 4 Kids!” and Bully Assemblies NY – both are outreach programs that currently tour K-12 schools.

Walter is a New Yorker since 1997, but grew up in Maryland, getting his theatrical start in Washington DC area. Walter has also performed internationally in theater, music and even Opera.
Member since 2009, Amelia is a native of Brooklyn, New York and proud to have performed in works like “POSE”, GLAAD award winning play “She Like Girls” and her one woman show “Flozetta” performed at HERE as part of the Downtown Urban Theater Festival. Amelia has also been seen in commercial spots for Cablevision, the History Channel, IFC, as well as comedy venues throughout the Northeast with her fellow cast mates of the improv troupes “Comedy Sportz-New York,” and “Eight is Never Enough.” She is also totally psyched about projects she is anxiously awaiting to be released like, “Are You Happy Now” and “The Many Saints of Newark”.

Ophelia in Hamlet, Liz in Chicago, and She in The Loveliest Afternoon of the Year. She loves performing in new work as well, and has been on stage for many of New York Cities various theater festivals. Liz has directed adults and children,
and is the co-artistic director of the newly formed Three Bridges Theater. Teaching has always been one of Liz’s favorite endeavors. She has worked with Americorps to bring arts education to low income families, taught literacy through acting with the Central Park Historical Society, and acted as an assistant director for the Sports and Arts in Schools Foundation. Her favorite teaching position, however, has been teaching stand-up and Improv to kids.

Sam is an actor/improvisor based in New York City. As an improviser, Samuel has performed for thousands of students and adults. He has also lead Improvisational workshops for all ages from kindergarten students to senior executives and everything in between. Samuel has lead workshops on the benefit of improv in a business setting for professionals in the education and medical field as well as corporate clients like IBM, Bing, and JP Morgan.
As an actor, Samuel works in TV, Film, and Theatre. Samuel has appeared in such TV shows as Evil Talks, Diabolical, and Mysteries at the Museum. Favorite stage roles include Malcolm (The Full Monty), Hal (Proof),
and Snoopy (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown!).

Steven was just 13 when he attended our first public comedy class for kids/teens. At age 16/17, Steven served as an Intern often helping with public shows & classes. Now in college Steven regularly performs with the professional comedy and team teaches our Long Island programs. He has appeared in various local plays and musical theater productions in addition

Ryan would like to believe you are laughing WITH him, not AT him. Ryan is an actors, singer, dancer, writer, noodle hailing from upstate NY. He is also a recent graduate of NYU Tisch (Experimental Theatre Wing/New Studio on Broadway). Besides working his first ever improv job with Eight is Never Enough, Ryan loves bringing new works to life (so you won’t know
any of his recent credits until they hit that good good Broadway transfer). Right before the quarantine life started, Ryan was cast in a new Off Broadway run of Naked Boys Singing. Critics have called him a “vocal powerhouse,” a “laugh riot,” and a “person.” Armed with a fast paced walk, and his home-made cold brew, he’s ready to take the world by storm!

Originally from Mexico City where she debuted professionally on the Musical Theater scene in the Mexican Broadway versions of The Fiddler on the Roof and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Robin Murray is a singer, actress, and improv comedian living in Brooklyn in New York City. She is a 2018 graduate of the Circle in the Square Theatre School. Her most recent projects include a reading of a new musical, Two Princes, and performing Revenge and Sorrow in Thebes via Zoom. She otherwise spends her time procrastinating on her psychology homework and bothering her cat.

Tyler J. Oakley is a head writer for the “Patent Pending” Sketch Comedy Show. He has studied improv with Bay Area Theatresports (BATS), National Comedy Theatre (NCT), and the Upright Citizens Brigade. Izzy is a singer, actress, model, (possible mermaid,) and writer who graduated from AMDA NYC in February of 2019 shortly after joining the cast. Her most “viral” work is doing the voice over for a Storybooth video which has gained over 11,000,000 views.

Isaac is an actor and improviser from Indianapolis, Indiana. He has been living in New York since 2017 and has been a member of Eight is Never Enough since 2018. He has definitely been in shows, and he has definitely enjoyed being in them. He’s in a few frames of the intro to Saturday Night Live, where he plays a waiter in the restaurant he actually works at. Isaac has also shined as a guy who fires a gun in an episode of NBC’s The Blacklist. He has also played King Lear! Gian recently returned from his Cruise Ship run of Jersey Boys. Originally from North Smithfield, RI, Gian has been performing since an early age and has fostered a successful career as a professional actor in NYC. Zelda Gay is a native New York ninja. She has a second degree black belt in traditional Japanese Oyama Karate and 10 years of martial arts experience. She graduated from Fiorello H. Laguardia High School (The Fame School) with a degree in drama and went on to study Theatre Studies and Stage Combat at Emerson College where she obtained her degree. Zelda works as an actor and a free lance fight choreographer. When not creating art, Zelda is a competitive fighter and an instructor at her family’s karate dojo.

Henry is an actor, playwright, and “I direct sometimes” based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. He graduated from The Gallatin School at New York University with a made up concentration he called Narratives and Poetics of Responsibility, which is meant to confuse as well as to titillate. Most recently, he acted in the 24 Hour Plays: Nationals on Theatre Row. He is a founding partner of Myka+Henry Productions as well as Capital J Theater Company. Currently, Henry works as a sound and electrics technician at various theaters in the city.
